The deepest wounds I’ve experienced weren’t directly from people or circumstances—they were from a distorted belief about God. When the One who formed you becomes the One you believe is against you, it’s nearly impossible to live with joy and peace, let alone fulfill your purpose and design.
For years, I wrestled with torment in my mind and emotions. No matter how hard I tried to stay grateful, obey God’s Word, and love my family well, there was an undercurrent of fear, shame, and unworthiness that colored everything.
Looking back, I can see how one deception allowed others to creep in, building on each other like bricks in a wall until my entire world felt suffocating. That’s how the enemy works—subtly, strategically. His power isn’t in brute force but in convincing us to put our faith in faulty beliefs instead of in the truth of God’s character.
When we confuse God’s truth with lies, healing, joy, and peace feel impossible. At best, they’re fleeting moments, leaving us grasping for something more lasting.
I did the best I could raising and loving my family during those years, but the weight of those deceptions took a toll. It wasn’t until I began to untangle the lies I had believed about God and replace them with His truth that I started to experience genuine freedom.
The journey of healing begins with recognizing the lies under which we’ve been living and inviting God to renew our minds and hearts. His truth restores what deception has destroyed, and His love rebuilds what fear has torn down.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing everything you can to honor God and love your family but still feel stuck in cycles of frustration, shame, or emotional exhaustion, you’re not alone. Healing is possible. Freedom is real. And joy isn’t just a fleeting feeling—it’s part of your inheritance in Christ.
